if

we were all sitting around the television. kasi, mom, dad, summer, sierra, merry, kirby, madie, valentine, jordan, ceily, lana and me of course. (mom and dad were actually sitting and sleeping. not watching.)

me: "kirby, what song would you choose if you were on american idol?"
kirby: "replied-something-i-don't-remember-probably-because-i-was-trying-to-remember-the-title-tune-artist-of-my-song."
me: "i would choose that song that is sung by twins. with long hair. it's a love song. i think it's a duet."
kirby: "huh?"
me: "you know, that one that goes...i can't remember...i think they are twins. or at least brothers."
kirby and i go back and forth trying to remember the song.
kirby: "mom, do you know a song that is sung by twin brothers maybe about love and it's a duet?"
kasi: "huh?"
me: "you know, it's pretty.
kasi-shaking head yes: "i just heard that the other day. it's pretty."

finally kasi remembers and tells us the title of the song, just as i was saying the title of the song and then kirby immediately knows the artist's name.

if i was a contestant on american idol, and i was given the choice of song to sing
this is the song i would sing.
and then simon would stand and ovate me.
and i would eventually win the contest.
because i chose the correct song to sing.
