Today was the Pinewood Derby. Eddie (and Chris) finally completed his car early this morning. Chris had been out of town and didn't return until midnight, so the bulk of the car had to be finished the night before he left. They woke early this morning to add the wheels. 
Alas, the car was not a winner. But, being the politically correct ward that we are, each boy was given an award.

Did Eddie appreciate the "Most Shimmery" award? I was thinking that I would like to be voted "Most Shimmery" but generally, they don't give out awards like that at work.
Eddie didn't care. He only commented that he didn't win and that he maybe came in 3rd or 4th in the "losers" bracket. I was happy though because I chose the color. Yeah Me!
