last night noah came to bed and got in next to me and said: "mom, i had a nightmare."
i gave him a quick squeeze, rubbed his back and snuggled him next to me and we fell asleep.
when i was little, i was afraid of the dark.
when i was little i would wake with fear and race to my mom's bedside. i usually stood there until she opened her eyes, pulled the covers up and i would crawl into the warm, soft nook she created beside her and fall asleep.
safe.
secure.
when i was little i also shared a bedroom with my older sister.
9 years older to be exact.
one night she pulled the wicker table close to her bed, put a little tv on top and turned on TRILOGY OF TERROR.

Hi Jayne,
I totally remember you and I've had fun reading your "car talk." I still use your artichoke dip recipe too.

You have to take the trilogy of terror picture off of here, it's freaking me out. I think I was in third grade when I saw it...scarred for life.
