it's a sad....

...sad, sad, sad day over here at the thomas house.

my camera died. for reals.
i'm almost too sick to post about it.

here's the story.

chris and i decided... well it was chris' idea. chris planned for everyone to take a trip to pony pastures.
pony pastures is a fun place on the james river. rocks and water and rocks and water. the children love it. well except for lana. she doesn't like it too much. it makes her nervous.

i decided to take the camera along. i've done it before. i thought: i'll sit on a nice rock, enjoy the sun, splash my feet in the running water, watch the children and capture the day on film.

this time as i was walking along the rocks, i slipped. i slipped and as i slipped, i fell. i fell. did you read that? i fell. as i fell, my camera fell too. peoples, i've been to pony pastures many a time. i've never fallen. not once.

the camera got wet. not too much. the water wasn't even deep. but it hit **** the rocks and it did get some water on it.

it's dead.

i'm so sad.
